  1. the creativity is a huge plus

    the satisfaction you feel when people love your dish

    the money is pretty good

    cons:

    hot kitchen

    working long hours usually at night and weekends,

    no social life

    weight gain

    dealing with rude servers

    promotable but it is usually to another restaurant as the executive chef and gm are the highest paid employees

    the rush and the stress are killer

    job security sucks as restaurants open, then close so frequently especially with our sluggush economy


  2. Good thing: You make people happy by making their food

    Bad thing:     You can't taste the food that looks soooooo delicious
