  1. Perth

    Primary School - Year 1 to 7

    High School - Year 8 to 12

  2. Our local school in Queensland is:

Prep; which is a voluntary pre school year

Years 1 to 6 in Junior School

Years 7 to 9 in Middle School

Years 10 to 12 in Senior School

I have a year 7'er in Middle school

  3. In my state (Queensland), we have kindergarten followed by pre-school, then primary school is from years 1 to 7 and high school is from years 8 to 12. Some schools treat years 6, 7 and 8 as middle school, but they are usually private schools which take children from kindergarten right through to year 12. Very few state schools cater for P-12 - I only know of one though there may be more outside Brisbane. Most high school students finish year 12 when they're 17 (a few will be18). After high school, we have university or TAFE (technical/trades).

  4. IN NEW SOUTH WALES (NSW),

    preschool is not compulsory.

    kindigarten-year6 : primary school

    year 7 - year 12    : high school

years 7 - 9 are juniors, and year 11-12 are seniors.

and after that, you can choose to go to TAFE or university.

  5. -Preschool (4-years-old)

-Primary school for transition to grade 6 (ages 5-11)

-Middle school for grades 7-9 (ages 12-14)

-High school for grades 10-12 (ages 15-17)

After high school you can choose to go to university.

PS. Might differ slightly from state to state. My state only just introduced middle school last year. Before that high school was grades 8-12.
