What are the great things about having a guinea pig and the worst?

i'm really looking into getting guinea pig/s. i was just wondering from people with past expierience wut are the good things about having one and the worst

The good things:  they're fuzzy and soft and cute.

The bad things:  their cage can stink if you don't clean it thoroughly at least once a week; they squeak like crazy when they're hungry.

Guinea pigs can be great pets if you take the time to give them attention regularly.  If you do, they will become accustomed to being held and petted and they will be sweet and docile.  If you just put them in a cage and don't give them human interaction, they will just be little wild fur-balls and will squirm and wriggle like crazy when you try to pick them up.

Good: They are really nice, don't bite, beautiful, not sick that much, easy to care for, live for 8 years, and are cheaper than dogs or cats.

Negative: Smell bad, hard to potty train,.

They p**p a lot! Seriously though, they are good companions. My grandmother had one for a few years. She'd hold it in her lap while she read the paper and let it hop around on her floor. If you ignore them in their cage they will let you know when they want out! We had one that would squeal very loudly when she was ready to be held. When ever we touched plastic bags in the kitchen she would go nuts awaiting some fruits and veggies. Her and my lab were great pals. (we never left them together unattended) My lap would always l**k her and lay with her.

The best thing about guinea pigs is that they're really fun to play around with. My guinea pig is my best friend, odd as it may seem. The disadvantages is the responsibility that comes along with it. You have to clean it's cage, play with it, and feed it.

The weekly cost and the vet bill if they get sick can be a minus. But they make great pets.

the good things about having a guinea pig is that they are alot of fun to play with and watch when they are running around the bad thing though is having to clean there cage it sometimes stinks but if you really want one youll get over the fact thatyou have to clean it.
