  1. yes, boiling!

  2. Boiling water will not remove totally fluoride and other contaminates found in tap water. You will need a water filter to do that and there are many good ones available depending on your budget.

  3. check out this site about the myths of distilled wated...

  4. Boiling water will kill bacteria and evaporate chlorine and fluorine, but it will leave you with higher concentrations of minerals and heavy metals. If you boil it in aluminum pots, it is even worse. Distillation is the surest means to get pure water. You should also have balanced mineral supplements to compensate for the lack of healthy minerals in the distilled water.

  5. Nope

boiling water will inactivate any bacteria in the water and possibly precipitate hard water salts (like calcium, etc) but not eliminate soluble salts like sodium or potassium.  As far as anions go the only ones I know of that will be precipitated are the carbonates.  Fluorides are quite soluble.  It can be eliminated by reverse osmosis or distillation but those are expensive processes.

For what it's worth to you, a little fluoride is good.

  6. If it's too hot, it may burn you when you drink it.  Let it cool down.

    Thank you and good day.

  7. Some of the things added to tap water is good for you (or so I hear!).  I think most people boil water if there's been a recent problem with it and the purity of it.

  8. No. Boiling does not remove anything. It may kill any living organisms in the water but it will leave it there. The steam let off when boiling is pure water so now the water left behind has a higher concentration of contaminants in it.

Floride is not considered a contaminant so there is no filter or purification system sold that will remove it. If it where a contaminant then it would not have been added in the first place. If you need to drink water without it so badly then your only option is distilled water. Otherwise forgetabout it.
