Do mostly people live in apartments, or do some people live in houses and neighborhoods like America. How much do houses in Spain cost in dollars. Also, are there a lot of Jews in Spain just curious.

  1. More people live in apartments than houses.  There are some villas called fincas, in the country, where there are large houses, though the common person generally lives in the cities in apartments.  I have never been in a suburb that looked like one in the US, but I imagine that in Madrid there are private homes in the outskirts, but they would be pretty close together with small yards, nothing like what you see in the US.

I was looking at apartments in Seville, and a smallish, two bedroom, and I couldn't judge the neighborhoods on the site that I was looking in, ran from about 70,000€ up to a million.  (differences being building, ameneties, street and neighborhood...centers of towns are much more expensive than living in the suburbs).

Jewish communities:  not huge, but there are people living there.   I tracked down a couple of Synagogues, but we never did make it to services.  I was told, everything is very Orthodox, and even in Madrid and Barcelona, there is no Reform Schul.  When I was living in Seville, some thirty years ago, we were told there were exactly 28 Jews in Seville.  I think the population has grown some, that you probably can't count on three peoples' hands, but I know it's not a huge number.
