  1. Between noon and 4. Most areas find the sun to be warmest at these times. Use a good sunscreen.

  2. I Would Have To Disagree And Say That The High Temp Is Usually Reached At About 5:00 pm. I Would Say The Hottest Hours Are Between 3:00-6:00 Pm. For That Reason

I Think It Takes Quite Sometime For The Sun To Cut Through The Haze And Humitity Due To The Great Lakes!

  3. hottest point in any day on the earth is when the sun is at its highest point in the day...how its supposed to work!  However if you want to tan then go to this link and look at  the altitude for the sun in your area and that's the time frame to look at.

As for those saying later in the day its hotter...well there is a reason for that other than just the sun. Radiant heat causes the late hot sensation. As the earth warms up through the day and the cooler air come late in the day the radiant heat is pulled upward greater than just radiant burn off during the day from concrete,  asphalt etc.  Most people don't realize that ambient air temperature is recorded and measured approximately 9 feet above the earths surface, or any surface for that matter. This to minimize the radiant effect on the over all reading. That hot part of the day you feel in the late day is partially due to radiant heat warming the ambient temperature.

  4. I agree with BIG-G,  I lived over by South Haven for years and the most intense sun was around 3:00 - 6:00.  I never really went out in the sun until then.
