Like I heard of something called Raydon that a house should be checked for...any1 know any others?

  1. Lead based paint, lead based solder, if the plumbing is copper, and asbestos are what come readily to mind. Check with your local building inspection or county health department as they should have complete and up to date guide lines. Safety of wiring is just as big if not a bigger concern. That old, deteriorated, outdated, overloaded wiring can burn the house down while you are blissfully sleeping.
