He won at toronto and the olympics. But still there are some more facets in his game to make him be a better hard court player.

  1. Just practice, practice and more practice.  He knows his own game better than probably even Uncle Toni, so he'll find what ever it is.  I just think he needs to be a bit more of a dancer on the hardcourt, which I believe he is already working on.

  2. He needs to continue to improve upon his serve.  He has shown amazing improvement on his serve and even throughout this season, it's gotten much faster.  At the same time, he's not getting many free points off it.  He needs more aces on the T, and good consistency and angle on the kick serve while maintaining speed.

He also needs to improve at net.  Most of the time he is forced to the net to chase a drop shot or a half volley.  Once he's there he does a pretty good job.  So I would suggest improving his serve and volley as well as approach shots.  This would also help his knees as it serves to shorten points quite a bit.

  3. practice

  4. his volley

  5. His serve.

  6. practice....

    practice makes perfect.

  7. Rafa used to have a weak serve, but its one of his strongest weapons now. He can still improve in that area though. If he manages to serve more aces, like Djokovic, it'll help his game alot! Otherwise he's playing super. He's doing well in all the elements needed for a good hard court game.
