What are the indentations on this silver bar?

My aunt knows this elderly couple and they have lots of silver. They gave it to my aunt to have her sell it on ebay so they could afford a sitter for his mom who is currently 93 years old. My aunt wants to know what the indentation is on this silver bar? We do know it is a 50 OZ. Troy Silver Bar. We took a picture of it here: http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/7904/dspsilverbarda4.jpg

Any help or information about this silver bar would be greatly appreciated!

the above is correct on the circular mark, the 999 stands for .999 pure silver and you already know the 50.00 for the ounces/

The circular shape is the mark of the company that poured it. I'm not sure what the 999 is.
