what are they? and when do they got stopped by the referee?how do they score? do they use their full power?

  1. Two rounds, 2 minutes apiece. Continuous sparring throughout the round, with stoppages only for fouls/injuries. Pints are scored for contact to the head and torso, and different points for more advanced techniques. ITF sparring is about TECHNIQUE, not brute force. Knockouts are not scored at all; in fact, using enough force to knock your opponent out can and will get you disqualified. Points are awarded by four judges, one each at the corners of the mat. A concensus is needed to determine a winner; i.e. 3 of the four judges must declare you the winner to get the victory. Not total points, but total number of judges scoring the same person higher than the other.
