I know that babies are very rewarding, seeing them grow and start to do cute stuff, but for example, if you were talking someone in to having kids, what would you tell them? When I think about having kids, I think about cute little babies, but as I am getting older I am realizing that it will include 18 more years of parenting, atleast. Parents who had another child (on purpose), why did you do it?

  1. being able to share t\ur experiances

  2. You will know after you have one, there is nothing like it in the world.

  3. I have four children from almost 7 down to 14 months, and #5 is due in January.

For me, the number one reason that I want to have more children is that I believe that they are a wonderful blessing from God.  I feel privileged to have these children to raise for Him, to have an impact on their lives for eternity.  Then, there's also the joy of watching them learn new things and develop into their own people and grow in understanding and maturity, especially in spiritual things.

  4. I don't see the joy of having kids as yet..they are noisy and hyperactive..it takes a lot of delication and time

Do think thrice before you act..

  5. It may be hard raising them for 18 years, but when the role is reversed, and you need to be taken care of when you are old, who usually is the one to do it?  And if you don't have children when you get to be in your 70's and 80's, who do you have?  Who do you spend holidays with?  Your children will be there for you when you need them if you are there for them when they are growing up.  It's not a good idea to "talk someone into having kids" though.  You need to have them because you want them.  They are a wonderful blessing when they are little, and when they grow up!

  6. You should never try to "talk" someone into having children.. if they don't want to, they don't want to. Period. My reason for wanting children is so I can see part of myself grow and part of another person I love grow.. I think it would be amazing to carry something that two people made inside of me.

  7. It is someone to share life experience with.  Someone to impart wisdom to.  Someone who is a little bit of you who will live on after you are gone.

My children are my life.  I stay at home with them all day, and they are such a part of me.
