  6. someone needs to pont you to the religous section of yahoo

  7. It has been said in most Gnostic doctrine that -

"Blood is Sin, Fat is Disease". But How & Why?

One should not deny that Life’s greatest and surest pleasures - enjoying MEAT.

But how it overlies the definition of “MAN IS SINNER” and the literal meaning was somehow misinterpreted for self-centered reasons, to drown a man into all deadly sins… eternally.

    7 DEADLY SINS

    ======================================...

    Pride

    -------------------------------------

Human being master of everything, dominion, putting everything else behind… first beyond family and tribe, later beyond religion, race, nation, color and gender. To bring other species more fully into the range of these decisions may seem unthinkable to moderate opinion now. One day, decades or centuries hence, it may seem no more than ‘civilized’ behavior requires.

    Sloth

    --------------------------------------

You have the right to be lazy to try; you have the right to be lazy to think: you can choose not to respond; you can choose not to move. Readers will find out the importance of Lethargiosis--the process of eliminating energy and drive, abstaining meat for biodiversity/ecology, the vital first step in becoming a sloth.

    Envy

    --------------------------------------...

    Yearning, jealousy, resentment, and schadenfreude…

Human is the only animal that would sit together with his enemy, finally betray him and eat him. Whatever a meat eater lies, sits, or walks other sentient beings become fearful upon smelling him,  because of his bad smell, likewise, when animals smell the meat eater, they fear death…make envy upon each others.

    Gluttony

    --------------------------------------...

Most delicious of deadly sins. She traces how our notions of gluttony have evolved along with our ideas about salvation and damnation, health and illness, life and death.

Free range meat for everyone so they can eat meat at current (gluttonous) levels.

New American Standard Bible (©1995) : Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat.

Proverbs 23:20- Flesh (from its freshness); by extension, body, person; also (by euphem.) the pudenda of a man -- body, (fat, lean) flesh(-ed), kin, (man-)kind, + nakedness, self, skin.

    Lust

    --------------------------------------...

Think and Being Good, here offers a sharp-edged probe into the heart of lust, blending together insight from some of the world's greatest thinkers on s*x, human nature, eating instinct, and our common cultural foibles. Thousand years ago, meat eating was not so bad, compared the cannibalistic instinct, if they still need to survive on meat. It just happens by murdering for wickedness.

    Greed

    --------------------------------------...

These people like the all the others who use animals for human greed or entertainment need enlightenment. Other instance like dog meat, although some accept it, there are also other do not as it results from disheartening cruelties, misconception and greed.

This may also be the biochemical explanation why meat is regarded as a "tamasic food" in Yogic tradition.  "A tamasic diet benefits neither the mind nor the body. Prana, or energy, is withdrawn, powers of reasoning become clouded and a sense of inertia sets in. The body's resistance to disease is destroyed and the mind filled with dark emotions, such as anger and greed. Tamasic items include meat, alcohol, tobacco, onions, garlic, fermented foods, such as vinegar, and stale or overripe substances. Overeating is also regarded as tamasic.

    Anger

    --------------------------------------...

Food is the source of the body's chemistry, and what we ingest affects our consciousness, emotions and experiential patterns. If one wants to live in higher consciousness, in peace and happiness and love for all creatures, then he cannot eat meat, fish, shellfish, fowl or eggs. By ingesting the grosser chemistries of animal foods, one introduces into the body and mind anger, jealousy, fear, anxiety, suspicion and a terrible fear of death, all of which are locked into the flesh of butchered creatures.

I used to be a depressed person (you feel what the animal feels during slaughter such as anger, fear, depression, etc). Now i am good.

The sin that worst of all...

    --------------------------------------...

A man that DENIES all the above sins - again, should be exceptional to enslave, castrate, experiment on, and fillet other animals—have had an understandable penchant for pretending animals do not feel pain. A sharp distinction between humans and ‘animals’ is essential if we are to bend them to our will, make them work for us, wear them, eat them— without any disquieting tinges of guilt or regret.

  8. are you talking about sinful food....like devil's food cake

  9. This is the vegetarian section.  Your question does not belong here.

  10. I'm going to answer your question seriously, and am assuming you mean the Seven Deadly Sins.

    Greed

    Gluttony

    Lust

    Envy

    Sloth

    Wrath

    Pride

Let me know if I was wrong, though....maybe you meant something else?

  11. Wrong section, and the question needs a bit more info(such as which religion you are talking about).

Are you thinking, venial sins and mortal sins

Mortal Sin: Is a very serious sin, which cuts the person off from God's grace. It is a sin that is deliberate and conscious act, where the person is fully aware that what they are doing is a horrible act  and a sin. If left without reconciling with God, the person risk eternal damnation.

Venial Sin: Less serious than mortal sins. The act does not separate the person from God's grace, but does hurt the relationship. These sins must be reconciled through confession or by receiving the Eucharist.
