What are the last steps of braces?

What are some of the last steps of braces before you get them off? Is correcting the overbite with rubber bands the last thing or not? I, like many others, really want them off! I can't take them anymore(especially the rubber bands!)! lol

bands are very annoying, but hang in there theyll eb worth it!

first of all, please realize that it is different for everyone, so ill tell you my story but it might not work out liek that for you...

i got bands about 7 months after i first got my braces on adn wore them up until the day i got them off....and i had them on for just under 2 years

maybe you wont need them as long which means youll get yours off soon?depends how long youve had your braces on for

apart from that, it was always the same...however, around the same time i started wearing the bands i got this new type of wire that got re-used for every single appt...it was a different type then i had previously been using and they just kept bending different parts of it

apart from that...there wasnt much else!

I am in braces now as well and doing the rubber band gig... just be patient and when its done you will have a great smile

One of the last things I did with braces was the rubber bands that corrected my underbite. After that my ortho had me completely lace my entire mouth shut with two larger rubber bands. I could only take them off to eat. It was extremely painful, like regular rubber bands times ten. I couldn't talk either because the rubber bands kept my mouth completely shut. I only had to wear those for about a week. After the week was up we scheduled an appointment and I got them OFF!!!! It was a such a relief! I had them for 4 years! It was time. Sounds like your pretty  close to getting your's off! Good luck!
