What are the laws in VA about liscence plates?

i bought a New York plate that says princess on it i wanan put it on the front or rear of my car but I dont know if its ok--i cant afford a ticket--so is Va ok with that? what if i put the real plate in my trunk and showna cop that if I got pullled over...I saw othe rppl with something like this on their cars..

No, Virginia is not OK with that.  A cop pulling you over would probably give you a warning, but a meter maid would definitely give you a ticket.  VA requires two plates and you aren't allowed to cover any part of the plate with a sticker or anything else.  

Virginia does have vanity plates--you can go to the DMV's website and see if there is a way you can get a tag number that means princess on your new tags.
