  1. totally engaging a child by using puppetry and music  - you can use language/arts, music and movement/ dramatic play, depending on the nursery rhyme there could be math involved.  Expand as much as possible as long as interest holds out.  Good luck and good job!

  2. three little monkeys jumping on a bed one fell off and bumped his head when i hear that to me it sounds like a stupid song but to a child its something fun and funny and if u read the words there is a lesson if u jump on the bed u may fall off and hit ur head my mother had told me that the first time i heard that i stopped jumping on my bed becuase i didnt want to be like the monkeys who hit their heads and puppets are attention getters

  3. All children learn in different ways, some are visual, some are auditory, visual etc. The rhymes in song with the puppet promote phonemic awareness (foundation for reading), and engage all types of learners in the activity (those who are visual, auditory, etc.) Adding motions to the rhymes helps activate the brain.  Hope this is helpful!!!

  4. Distraction using puppets.

  5. I would think building confidence, memorizing, communicating with others, movement and rhythm, and a bunch of other learning opportunities.

  6. IT MAKE KIDS THINK

  7. The obvious is phonemic awareness through rhyme.  Dramatization of the rhyme helps with comprehension.  Physical movement works gross and fine motor development.

  8. Word/object association

    creative play

    motivated learning

    participation

If the song is like the hokey pokey it could promote physical learning opportunities ie. body parts, fast/slow

    the opportunities are endless

  9. it gets the children thinking. it helps them to enjoy playing with other children and get along with them. keeps them motivated and helps gain trust.

    hope that helps some =)
