What are the legal requirements if any to start up a mobile home care business for the elderly?

I already own a succesful home cleaning company but am being constantly asked is we would consider helping some of our elderly customers with the various day to day duties. ie shopping washing up changing bed sheets & so on.

Just giving some ideas which I am sure you have thought of already.

It looks like you may have to set up a separate company.

You may want to train your staff in-house with full documentation.

Initially you may start out doing a few functions. With full documentation you will be able to work with other professionals (clear lines of separation and responsibility).

Once you have built up the documentation and experience then you may get paid direct from the council/NHS trust, depending on how many boxes you have ticked.
