  1. In Tennessee, lemon laws only apply to brand new cars, not used cars.

Used cars are nearly always sold "as-is" without warranty or guarantee. Unless you bought a "certified" car from a dealer and got a written warranty, or bought a relatively new used car with remaining manufacturer's warranty, then nothing is covered on your used car.

  2. Tennessee Lemon Law applies

During the first year (no mileage limit) following delivery of a new vehicle

The dealer has attempted to repair the same problem three (3) or more times, or

The vehicle has been out of service for repair at the dealership for a total of 30 days or more.

  3. There are no "lemon laws" for used cars. They only apply to new vehicles and those still covered by factory warranty.

  4. Their are NO lemon laws for used cars.  You might have an issue with the Magnus Moss Act but that will deal with the manafacture.  However leman law states for new car purchasers only and a defect must be attempted to be repaired 3 or more times in the first 12 months from In Service Date and  it currently can not be fixed or repaired.
