  1. Science is limited by available technology. Science is also limited by government and a society that won't let it research and proceed on what they already know. For example, stem cells.

  2. Science can not observe the Big Bang nor directly observe an electron.  Science can not depart from 'Now!' to travel back or forward in time.  Science can not transport living creatures.  Science can not create life.  Science can not reanimate the dead.  Science can not convert an irrational number (Pi) into a rational number.  Science can not exceed the speed of light.

  3. it needs to prove itself at every point.

and it is somewhat bound by limitations of the available technologies and apparatus.

  4. Science can only investigate phenomena that operate within the "laws of nature".

If anything is not part of the normal, physical universe, or if it can arbitrarily break the laws of physics, then it cannot be investigated by science (which can only use those laws to perform investigations).

Therefore "supernatural" ("above nature") phenomena, like the soul, God, the afterlife, etc. cannot be investigated by science.

  5. The main limitation of science in the world today is self imposed -- scientists have arrogantly decided that any reality that they cannot probe and measure does not exist.  The soul, consciousness, God and other such "entities" that are not amenable to material study, because they are not objects that can be poked around in a lab, are therefore ridiculed or rejected as irrational, superstitious, etc.  By taking the physical, material world to be the sum total of reality, science has limited itself to studying the tip of the cosmic iceberg, while proclaiming that the depths unseen do not exist and do not matter!  This is the greatest limitation of science as currently practiced.  It is as if scientists are color blind and therefore deny the very existence of color!

  6. Today science is fully dependent on the available natural resources.By considering the today's rate of use of such resources,we can say that they are going to get fully exhaust, thus if technology didn't find any other renewable resources, the science  can be in trouble. But we(humans) have the capacity to avoid this...because we are the most intelligent people of the world..thus science has no limit till humans are alive...
