Question:

What are the limitations of "Add Members"?

I am starting a new group for a group of people that engage in a specialized sport. , and some users have never been in a group before ( some older users). I want to make it as easy as possible for these new members to take full advantage of the group.

Other than signing up 10 people a day, are there any membership limitations of using the "add Members" feature, versus using the "Invite Members". function? Will they be full fledged members? Can they use all the group's functions once I have added them?

Thanks!

  1. There is no difference whether you invite them or just add them.    Both would have full membership priviledges.  When you add them you might be very specific in the message being sent as to what's going on.

How can I directly add (not invite) members to my group?

  3. the first answer is incorrect. added members become e-mail only members, and will not have access to group features.

adding members is different than inviting. there's a limit due to the abuse of this feature. a group can be deleted if the owner is adding without permission
