Social workers try to enable people and link them with resources. However, what their clients and other professionals think might differ. It is not the first time in my career that people try to throw their problems in my lap and pretend an answer and/or I solve everything. Moreover, as social workers we do not have powers on certain crucial services such as housing, employment and social benefits. We only advocate.
