Question:

What are the little webs on my habanero plants?

I have two producing habanero plants, one is 4 years old. Now they're being attacked by some insect that makes thin little webs, destroying the leaves. What are they and how do I eradicate them? I've tried neem oil and Spinosad, to no avail.

  2. It could be scale  Put a teaspoon of vegetable oil in a gallom of water and spray right on plants

  3. They are deffinatly spider mites, they live in the soil and feast on young parts of the plants, they will stunt your plants and suffocate them. They must be treated either with Pyrithrian or if you are organicly inclined wash them off daily, spray them off the plants and they usually don't return.
