I am led to believe a apprentice jockey in the 60's returned a horse with odds over the 2,000 to 1 mark.......

I rode a horse and won the AliceSprings cup on,it started out at 33/1 and paid heaps.

Don't know about that but Miller's Guide lists 500-1 for both -

Pablo's Purse, Warwick Farm, 22/8/1987 &

Anntelle, Canterbury, 3/7/1982.

On the tote -
