the budget place for accomodation is near park street, there is a salvation army guest house there and lots lots more, and its only a few minutes from the underground station. Ask anyone in the area for the salvation army guest house and you will be in the heart of Budget Calcutt. As far as I remember its vey cheap and under 300Rp a day. Hope that helps.
