  1. The Fraser River is one of the world's most productive salmon fishieries in the world and runs straight through Vancouver into the mountains.

    Another main commercial fishing area is in the north twards the BC/Alaska border where Pollock is caught.  Off the west coast of Vancouver island there is a large fishery industry as well.
