  1. DK is more off the beaten path. NL is right in the middle of the action.  DK has more blonds and seemed mostly white people; NL (esp. in the cities) has more of a mix, with some blacks, Indonesians, Moroccans, Turks, Asians, etc.

NL has more of a history of colonial activity, with Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, St. Maarten, as well as historical connections to Indonesia and South Africa.

NL has had to reclaim lots of land from the sea and build canals and dykes to prevent flooding.

NL seems to be a bit wilder in terms of partying, etc.

Copenhagen was cleaner than Amsterdam.  The countryside and small towns are very clean in both places.

  2. Well, they are two separate countries, one is Danish and the other is Dutch.

I mean, I kind of thought that would be obvious ....

  3. Language is a big one.

  4. I wouldnt say there are loads, the dutch prefer cheese, the danish bacon, the dutch like heineken, the danish carlsberg. Other than that not a lot in it!

  5. Too many to mention, typical Europe both are spotless s*x isn't a taboo but i think Denmark does have a prejudice against alcohol where as the Dutch don't.

  6. I've been to both, and apart from the language, the differences are not that great. Maybe the greatest difference is in the Southern part of The Netherlands : Noord-Brabant and Nederlands Limburg, with an important Roman-Catholic tradition.
