  1. Plasma televisions have a wider viewing angle and a higher contrast ratio, but they use more power and produce more heat. They also don't work well in high altitudes. They typically have a bigger screen size than LCD.

    LCDs have a high viewing angle, but not quite as good as Plasma. They have a lower contrast ratio but they're getting pretty good. They use less power and produce less heat.

    I don't know how the prices compare size-for-size, but I think LCD is a little more expensive.


  2. plasma tv uses gas and lcd uses crystals.  i hear plasma t.v. can get burned in images as well. lcd screens are usually lighter too.
