  1. As both countries have many different cultures it is hard to determine what those culture differences would be.

I am Canadian...and pretty pleased about that

  2. canadians are habitual liars

  3. I'd heard it stated by Americans (one American friend in particular used to be able to quote whole categories and figures ~ ) 'Security Services' and Armed forces of the Soviets ('Russia' and her allies) was run as a 'Dictatorship  without a Head'.

I've often wondered as to why American has so many types of Police ~ Local, State, Federal, Texas Rangers ~ State Troopers ~ coupled with the FBI, CIA, AFT, Military Police, NCIS and the something or the other to do with guarding science!

There are the Border Patrols, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force  ~ Marine Air force, Army Air force, Naval Air force, the National Guard and now the Homeland Security.

This list, of course, doesn't include the others we know little or nothing about (and those I've forgotten about) and seems to me to be not a great deal better than as thing used to be in the Soviet Union where, once, you needed a Visa (and a lot of answers to the questions by Authority as to Why you'd want one....?) to travel to a neighbouring state.

For the Soviets, it all made Perfect Sense ...to have their levels of 'Security' whixch was looked on by the West as ''totally Totalitarian''.

Now the boot is, as it were on the other foot, 'National Security' and it's all but paranoic level, is of course ALL very justified.

Personally, I prefer the Canadians and Canada.

A joke told some time ago went ~

Question:  'What do you call an educated American?'

    Answer:  'A Canadian'.

Sorry, but it's a considered opinion.

    Sash.

  4. The main difference is Americans want to be Americans and Canadians want to be Americans.

  5. There are only a couple of countries in this world that are better than America. Those countries are Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Ireland!!!!  Canada is no competition!! America is a rich wonderful country!!!!!!

  6. Canadians have longer arms and shallower pockets than americans.

Also a canadian head is usually far further from entering its own ar$e than an american head.

  7. Canada.

  8. There is not much of a difference between American and Canadian culture, for one thing. The one main difference I can think of is the way the spell and that overall, Canadians are more liberal.

I would prefer living with Canadians, though I would not mind living in New York City or Florida. It depends on where you go in the United States, too.

  9. Canadians - more benign.

    I prefer Canadians.

  10. Not a lot, but why would you want to live in Canada(trust me they are not all that)

  11. Canadians Like Hockey

    Americans Like Baseball

  12. America, FTW

  13. The main differences are US people are paranoid. Canadians are not in general. I'm not being prejudiced. I am a US citizen. Lived here all my life. But it's true. Our society breeds fear and mental illness with out any regard for how infectious it is. I think our leaders propagate it even. It's big money, all those drugs a MH facilities. Canadians may be just as competative which I find a disgusting trait in any society at large but they do not approve of promoting paranoia. I'm not talking about all this most recent emphasis on terrorism stuff. The US has been promoting fear within itself of it's own neighborhoods even for decades long. Canada's good sense in not following this insane example  may just keep it from going on down with the rest of the USA too. I hope so. I'd hate to see the whole of North America sink with just one country's stupidity.
