  1. I think that Love is a very important gift in the story. It is, after all, what the author says her book is mainly about. Love keeps Jem and Scout together throughout the story.

    Another valuable gift was Atticus's ability to see past the color of people's skin. This is what led him to try so hard on the trial and what led to many of the main events in the book.
