  1. They are ashamed and shame is a great motivator. Clausen shoulder is healed and stronger than ever. Charlie Weis handed over play calling to a real O-Coordinator.

ndmagicman is a window l****r. Notre Dame has consistently had a top ten schedule per ranked opponents.

    GO IRISH!!!

  2. they young ones will be more experienced, clausen needs to go. his head is much too big for that body. as long as they have him, they wont be a contender for a bowl game.

  3. Well i think Claussen is about to get kicked off for transporting liquor by a minor or something like that and when they lose him they'll be even worse so maybe the same

  4. besides that they really can't get any worse, i'm not really sure.

  5. one reason is they can't get any worse

  6. Can they get any worse?  We'll see.  My prediction is that Charlie Weiss is job hunting at the end of the season.

  7. One reason is Notre Dame can't get any worse unless going 0-12, but last year Weis was the head coach and call the offense play and the had a gruesome schedule. This year Notre Dame play only 4 bowl team on there schedule and more home game. Weis is also not calling the offense and Notre Dame returns alot of offense starters last year.

  8. The Fighting Irish will improve for several reasons.

    1. Schedule - ND plays some rather lack-luster programs this year, opening against San Diego State.  There are a few teams that will beat the current incarnation of the Irish, like USC, Purdue, Michigan (I hope not!), etc.

    2.  Clausen will have a little more confidence since getting sacked so often last year.  His arm has healed and he will exhibit some of the tendencies we started to see at the very end of last year.

    3.  The Irish secondary is not as "cupcake" as it has been in the past.  Yes, Zibby is gone, but they still have a solid corps of CBs and Safeties.

    4.  Coaching responsibilities. OFFENSE- Weis finally handed over play-calling to an offensive coordinator, allowing him to manage the team and not get pre-occupied with the plays.  DEFENSE- With the defensive genious of Jon Tenuta, Corwin Brown will have greater support to offer the defensive teams.  Better coaching means better play.  Look for Maurice Crum Jr. to have a great year under Tenuta's tutelage.

Optimistically, the Fighting Irish will finish 7-5 or 8-4, and will get into a second-tier bowl game.  They would then, hopefully, snap the 14 year bowl winless streak.

    LET"S GO, IRISH!!!!

  9. much easier schedule and better talent

  10. Not so sure they will unless they've taken on an even easier schedule than they normally do.

  11. Can they get worse?
