  1. Well. let me give you an answer that you might like...

You've watched the movie "The Inconvenient Truth" and at the nearer end it said that U.S.A and Australia are the only ones not to participate in Some sort of energy saving thing...

Well this is how it works... you sign up for the program (the country that is) And you have an "energy goal" If you don't reach that goal then the country's owner has to pay money.

so that's why U.S.A. and  Australia don't want to do it, there afraid they wont reach there goal.(there for lose money)

  2. the first answer in true and he is refering to tthe kyoto protocol... but india and china have larger emissions because they have a much larger resources sector... its not nuclear power because australia only have one small reactor at lucas heights thus far, however its been a recent political topic

  3. India & China may soon exceed the US & australia CO2 emmision levels; however they have many times the population -

the CO2 per person (per capita) in the US is very much bigger than anywhere else. see www.inconvenienttruth.com

Also the West has exported it's industry to cheap labour areas (these factories are producing goods for western consumption, so any pollution should, in fairness, be allocated to the west).

The main reason for climate change in America, Australia, Europe. Africa or Asia, is the burning of fossil fuels by the western countries, especially the US; as clearly & authorativly stated by the Intergovenmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC. http://www.ipcc.ch/

  4. Mankinds greed for money and power.
