Three?  Well, for one thing, it's a parody of the Gothic romances that were popular in Jane's day.  Then, Catherine is pretty naive and trusting, so that she gets taken in by the Thorpes  So a second them may be that of innocence.  And there's the usual theme of the relation between marriage and money.
