You will need a current passport and a valid US visa in order to be allowed to board a plane to the US. At the US port of entry, your documents will be examined and you will be asked a few questions to verify your non-immigrant intentions.

In order to receive the visa, you must apply at the nearest US foreign mission. First you pay a non refundable application fee, then schedule an interview and fill out the DS-156 (and other forms, if warranted) on-line, print them and bring them with you to the interview. When you arrive at the interview, you will need also need your photographs, and any additional documentation that supports your intentions.
