I recently left a company where the hourly employees were required to work 7 days a week with 12 hour shifts.

  1. The maximum should be 40 hours and anything above that should be time and a half. It's impossible to work 7 days straight for 12 hours a day. That's an 84 hour work week.

  2. sadly enough they can do this. I think the law is they can work you 21 days straight with no days off. after 21 days they have to give you a day off. these big buisness treat people like hogs. I work for a really bad warehouse myself. it really sucks. Im saving right now to go back to school in the spring. my goal in life is to go to my boss and say kiss my a$$ I quit and I will never step foot inside another warehouse!

  3. It depends on what state you live in, and what industry you work in.  You need to research labor laws for your local state.
