  1. Nothing, the effect to the cause is usually hunger that leads to aggresive politics.  And finally, war for the chance to spread.

  2. For the most part, none.

Most of these countries are heavily Christian or Islamic, and contraception is out of the question, so they just keep doubling the population every 20 years. Soon they'll all starve. The Hindus also seem to be going for a maximum fertility motto.

Only atheist China has tried to control it with the one child policy.

  3. China still has a one child policy.

  4. Yeah there is the one child per family in China, however its typically only a fine if you break this law, and sometimes in extreme cases sterilization.

In African countries there have been many campaigns in the past for condoms, but these were primarily run from the perspective of preventing AIDS, not population growth.

And in a lot of former Soviet states they have declining popluations, so none is needed.

  5. Just ask the Chinese. They have the one child policy and as they prefer males now have a problem that there are not enough females to go around.

  6. I just love that expression "developing countries". One of these days I'l figure out what it means. I think it means not yet covered with pavement, high rises and industry.

But to answer your question, most "undeveloped" nations use a rather crude but effective method of population control called starvation.

  7. =The answers you are getting are unbelievably ignorant.

=Worldwide family planning techniques are varied. I think you can find them on the UNFPA site.

=Techniques range from education, widespread availability of birth control, women's groups.

=The general process of urbanization tends to reduce the number of children by huge percentages. Over half the world lives in cities now. Television is important.

=Mexico in particular has cut it's birthrate dramatically. The Total Fertility Rate in Mexico is now 2.37 children per woman, which is not far above the TFR=2.10 in the United States.

=In the last ten years the fertility of the world has changed dramatically. Sub-replacement fertility is spreading around the world. Over half the population of the world now lives in a country with total fertility rates of 2.1 or less.

=Although there are small countries with very high fertility rates, (like Haiti) the large regions of the world with high fertility rates are sub-saharan Africa and South Central Asia,

South central Asia includes India, Nepal, Bangladesh, the 7 -stan countries Afghanistan, Pakistan, ...

=Although China has the largest and most visible family planning effort, it is not unique.

    ======================================...

Although the threat of mass starvation is still very real, it is by no means certain. The biggest danger is still Sub-Saharan Africa. Everyday life is pretty horrible for much of the population. The population in the year 2000 was 650 million. The prediction is that in the first half of the 21st century 650 million will die and 1750 million will be born. Only 2.5 million are expected to emigrate.

= Compare that quickly with the more developed countries.

In the year 2000 their population was 1200 million. The prediction is that in the first half of the 21st century 712 million will die and 645 million will be born. Of course the loss is offset by the 100 million that will immigrate.

  8. Specifically, they take some measurements by knowing the whole population in every areas, the possible and estimated nos. of people in the future if something never change in the population growth, the percentage of natural resources which is very vital in our lives.
