What are the measurments of one yard of walmart fabric?

A square yard is 36 inches by 36 inches. When Walmart cuts their fabric, they allow for a little overage in case the cuts are not sqaure. Chances are you will get 36 inches wide and 37 inches long. Of course that is assuming that they are using 36 inch wide fabric... If they are using wider fabric, the length will become shorter. At that point, all you need to do is find the fabric you want, find out how wide it is, and then divide 1296 by that number. That will give you the length of the other side.. (There are 1296 square inches in a yard.) As an example if the fabric is 50 inches wide, the length would be just under 26 inches.  (1296 / 50 = 25.9)

Fabric comes in various widths:  54 inches, 60 inches and sometimes narrower - 36 inches.  Walmart does not go with only one width.  Call them and ask what it is you need to know, if you can describe the fabric and get the second measurement.  Of course, the yard is 36 inches.

to be honest you do not need fabric.  the fabric will keep the weeds from coming up underneath it but not on top of it.  any time the winds blow weed seeds are there, on top of mulch, rock or pine straw.  try a weed and grass preventer(HI-YIELD) with DIMENSION.
