  1. Hi!! I'm italian...tennis shoes are ok!! The distance between Florence and Rome is about 230 km...

Italians are friendly....the men are very friendly with the girls....but, there is a problem: a lot of people is pretty stupid, there are a lot of bad persons. Italy is not such a unique place to visit---in this moment the situation is dangerous for italians and for tourists because of the crime. I think it's more difficult to find an italian gentlemen, than a rapist....so, if you're going to visit Italy, you've to do it carefully....bye bye

...Oh yes, sure!! I didn't say it for respect...for a big part they're immigrants

  2. hi

    this is my badoo's profile:

i think to be a good looking boy, isn't????

but the italian's man are not a playboy!!!

    sure, this is false

  3. wear whatever you want. if you go to sicily you will be respected no matter what. you go to the north you better have a ferrari and some armani shoes.

  4. Hi, as far as men go I think it depends greatly where you go.  I was there in January and in Rome the men are more aggressive, not really in a bad way just when we would walk pass they would say stuff in Italian, offer us a ride in cars (when we had our luggage, we declined the offer, lol) police men would get out of there car a blow kisses, and we got a lot of offers for tour guides and mostly men just telling you that you are beautiful (which even though they probably do  it to everybody it is still fun and flattering and I never felt threatened by it)  In Florence the men seem to calm down a bit and the further north you go it seem to really calm down, and I have heard it gets even wilder the more south you go.  It took us about an hour and a half I think to get to Florence on the train.  As for the tennis shoes if you want to wear them no one will say anything or point and laugh or anything but the Italians are definitely very fashionable and I saw sporty trendy tennis shoes but not like the ones Americans wear, I just brought cute flat boots to tuck my jeans into and were comfortable but it might be getting to warm for that now.  Anyway hope I helped have a great trip.

  5. hm they always dress in style, are good looking and polite...... um tenis shoes are comfortable, but not many of us wear them.............. the white ones anyways :P

    um.... boh

  6. Eric Jason : you should specify  that the "bad persons" that you said are not italians!! the immigrants are the "bad person" who rape the tourist...and they are rumenians, moroccans, egyptians, albanians etc......NOT ITALIANS!

  7. Italian men are not all the same.  As some mentioned Southern Italian men tend to be more open to complimenting a girl than Northern Italian guys.  I've met some really "aggressive" Northerners and some really "timid" Southerners, so it's best not to generalize.  Plus, you have to realize, that they know you are a tourist by the way you dress and of course from hearing you speak, so they try to take advantage of the situation.  It's a know fact, that a lot of tourists are more open to "sexual adventures".  I've had 3 Italian boyfriends, and all of them have been really friendly and down-to-earth...not anywhere near the cheating, aggressive, sleazy guys some comments seem to suggest.  Oh, and there are a lot of foreigners living in Italy, so some of the guys that make comments to you might not even be Italian.  I for some reason, always get hit on by Moroccans,

Yes, tennis shoes are okay to wear in Italy.  Young Italians wear them, but they are very fashionable.  Italy and Italians tend to be very fashionable.

Florence is around 200 km north of Rome...it takes around 2 1/2 by train (if I recall correctly).

    I live in Italy.

  8. dangerous...do not come here!!!

  9. Men are handsome, shallow, unreliable and unfaithful.

Tennis shoes will be ok mainly because you'll walk miles every day... but bring a nice pair of shoes for the evening because italians are generally very glamourous when they go out.

Florence to Rome is about 1 hour and a half on the Eurostar (fast train), more if you drive or take a regional train.

  10. in the north we are cold like germans in the south they are wild and annoying. I suggest you to come here in the north!
