I checked with KingFisher's website but they do not seem to show the minimum flying hours requirement for Freshy Pilots.

  1. There is no minimum flying hours required for trainee pilots except the fact that you hold a valid CPL (commercial pilot license) with multi-engine & instrument flying ratings endorsed in it.

Yes, for senior pilots (ATPL holders) there is a requirement of 1500 to 2000 hrs.

But you will need two things to join Kingfisher or any other private airlines:

    (a) References or a relative (in the same profession) will be of help.

    (b) Ready to shell out approx. 15 Lacs to get trained on the Airbus simulators (as Kingfisher flies Airbuses; for Jet you will have to pay for Boeing simulator trainings). This will allow you to get absorbed as a co-pilot upon completion.

If you choose to train on your own on these two aircrafts simulator type then things would be easier for you as airlines would prefer a well trained pilot readily available to take the controls, though its not easy.

I guess you can get such information on Air-India/Indian Airlines site, as shown below because they keep on advertising all such requirements on their web site.

You can go to the site below...good luck!
