What are the mirrors referred to that guys in prison make?

Question

They call them etched but what they actually do is take the nickel backing off and then paint the exposed glass. When you look at the face of the mirror you see the picture surrounded by mirror. They look exactly like the bar mirrors, but the painting is on the back.

I am trying to find them but have not been able to get anywhere with it, because I have only heard them referred to as etched mirrors. Any help would be great . Thank you

They just make 'em out of polished metal.

I cant really answer your queston but that sounds really interesting... I've never heard of that before... But I have seen many peices of art/artist that come out of prison and its really some of the best I've seen
