The U.K. is willing to sacrifice 2000 years of British culture so as to bring Sharia "Islamic" law to their legal system. It's all about appeasement. While America is into this political correctness c**p, it hasn't gone so far as to actually change it's fundamental culture in order to appease a group or religion. Mind you, Americans do have to press "1" for service in English.

Sports, America is closed in this respect with their football and baseball. The rest of the world has soccer and the Brits or some British colonies have "gasp", cricket. Canada has ice hockey.

Music. The British were extremely influential with their British Invasion, and 1960s - 1970s progressive rock, punk, new wave and 1980s alternative. American music was also influential with their rock n roll, funk, Motown, soul, disco, and jazz. Now adays, American music, especially hip-hop remains influential as do many singers. British music is probably a bit less influential these days if you look at the charts, worldwide.

And while Americans may be obese, the Brits have bad "rotten" teeth and sometimes have a hygiene problem (i.e. smell).

In reality, the British Empire has morphed into modern day USA.  Some scholars argue that the prevalance of Anglo-Saxon culture and values were transoed into the USA and because of the vast amount of natural resources, the society thrived and went on to dominate the world economically, politically, and culturaly with the same set of principles and ideals infused from Mother England.  Thus, the 'special relationship' is alive and well, because in reality, both the USA and the UK are really one in the same.  In the modern global economy thi is especially relevant, as one sees Britian constantly more allied and comfortable with the USA than her European neighbours.

the u.s has diffrent words than u.k like for example the uk calls trash rubbish and the uk calls earaser rubber! and there more posh america is more layed back and americans are so not proper at all so i think the u.k is better but i have lived in america for 10 years

USA does more about their crime problems.  But being more right wing, they seem less tollerant of difference types of people. England definitely has better sports.  Cricket, soccer and even rugby are by far superior to the daft games they play!

I prefer the U.K. simply because the people there are more intelligent and down to earth. People in Europe are still evolving mentally whereas here in the U.S., I feel as though I'm surrounded by slovenly, shallow, vainglorious, short sighted, gun happy idiots.

In the U.K. handguns are illegal, there is just as great a cultural diversity as in the U.S., their citizens take their future into consideration when they go to the polls, and they aren't blinded by mindless, capitalist bred consumerism and pop culture.

And I respectfully disagree with you on both statements. Most Americans are overweight, if not horribly obese. To their credit, it's not their fault. Our government is not doing anything about the greasy, life-destroying fast food industry that is consuming our nation.

Also, I have been to the U.K. two or three times and it is just as diverse as the U.S. I submit, certain parts are not quite as diverse but overall, as a whole, it is.
