  1. I'm from Curacao. There, we always want to relax, or party. We never need a reason to set up a party or anything.. we just do it.

  2. They are an angry people. Very uptight and busy. Never want to relax.

  3. I can only tell you about Puerto Rico.

I was born in the US and raised in FL and now live in PR for 10 years now. I have to say that in PR is only good for vacation, living here sucks. some residents are moody, uptight and very stressed. ofcourse after a hard working day, locals go to the beach drink their hearts out and party until dawn, even if they have to go to work the next day. In 2006 survey, PR ranked the happiest country in the world, hmmm, I have no idea how that happened, because people are not too happy over here, they just party a lot to get relieved from all the stress (i guess they forgot to mention the realistic part of life). If you have money and are a rich person living in PR, then u live in heaven, otherwise you have a sucky life like some middle class. I suggest vacation only, people in the US, even thought they are stressed and society can be depressing, people are still nicer over in FL, and better job oppotunities. If I could go back to US, I would go in a heart beat.

  4. The Nature Island of DOMINICA- not to be confused with Dominican Republic.

Dominica Moods: Happy, content, high, mellow, joyful, hyper, curious, musing, giggly, adventurous, glad...many more.

  5. very laid back and bouncy

  6. I suppose it depends where in the Caribbean. I've been to different areas and they're all smiling and pacing themselves with the heat. In Cuba, though, they are hardworking people, are not lazy at all, and have found that they will deal with life as it comes. Irregardless of their situation in life, you will find them always singing and making the most and best of everything. They value family and friendships. People are not afraid to talk with you (without any ulterior motives) and just befriend you because you're another human being.

And close family relationships are what I see a lot of in the Caribbean.

  7. depends on the country but hospitable, friendly, lots of dancing, singing and drinking, hard workers but relaxed

  8. I've only been to Barbados and to St. Maarten so I can only comment on two places.  In Barbados it is laid back.  The people are happy kind and very polite.  Nothing is rushed and everyone has a smile and a "good morning" for you.  The feel of the place is like a tropical paradise and it is not very commercialized.  If you really want to get away from it all this is the kind of place you would love.  Dutch St. Maarten, well sorry but, not as nice, not as polite and the street vendors and cabbies harass you.  It is very commercialized with businesses everywhere and not a lot of historically interesting places to go.  I can't comment on the French side because we didn't go over there due to the euro/dollar exchange rate.  I've heard it is nicer than the Dutch side but the people on the  Dutch side speak poorly of the French side.  Personally, I would go back to Barbados in a heartbeat.
