  1. Hydrogen has to be 1st. Second would be carbon and oxygen (since food contains water, I am not sure which would be more abundant, the carbon or the oxygen). Then nitrogen (for all the amino acids).

    Beyond that, sodium and chlorine (salt), potassium, phosphorus, clacium, sulfur, and a whole lot of oligo-elements (magnesium, iron, selenium, etc.)


  2. Depends on the food, but you would expect to find a lot of carbon and hydrogen.

    Starches and sugars are mostly carbon and hydrogen, with a bit of oxygen.  All food in your body is eventually coverted into sugar.  So...by wieght, it would be carbon.  By moles, it would be hydrogen.
