  1. 1. Only one English driver has won the world title more than once.

    2. The only two one-time world champions in the top 10 race-winners of all time are both English. (Spot the very average drivers who had the best car for years on end...)

    3. English drivers hold the record for a) the most number of races before becoming world champion; b) the most number of races before finishing on the podium; c) the most number of races without a pole position; d) the most number of races without either a pole, or a fastest lap or a win & e) the most number of races without leading a single lap.

    4. The top six drivers in the list of consecutive retirements are all Italian.

    5. Italian drivers hold the records for a)  the most number of races without a single point; b) the most number of races without a win; c) the most number of races without a fastest lap; d) the most number of races without a podium finish; e) the most retirements in a career & f) the most number of races before scoring a point.

    6. There hasn't been an Italian world champion for 55 years.

    7. Only 55 out of 791 World Championship GPs have been won by a driver from the host nation.

  4. Some things I find interesting: a 1320 lb car with a 750 to 800 hp 2.4 liter engine. 0 to 100 mph and back down to 0 in under 10 seconds. Normal engine rpms are about 17,000 to 19,000. The steering wheels alone can cost $30,000 to $40,000 if my math is correct.

  5. Micheal Scumacer did'nt invite his brother, Ralf to christmas dinner afer he colided with his elder brother at the European GP in 1997.

    It took Mika Hakkinen 90 attempts before he won his 1st F1 race ( his 91st).

    Ayrton Senna punched Eddie Irvine after the 1993 Japaneese GP after Irvine had the balls to unlap himself from Senna!
