  1. Once you've identified what your disability is, the best thing to do is to learn skills to help you overcome the challenges.  For example, if you have dyslexia, you'll want to learn other methods of taking in and understanding materials.  If you have ADHD symtoms, you'll want to learn ways to focus.  Basically, identify your 'disability' or challenge and develop your skills and habits around studying that best help you succeed.  It's important to focus on your strengths -- for every challenge you have you also have a gift.

  2. Patience, tollerance of ignorant and teasing people. Not being afraid to ask and ask until you understand. Find people who you trust and can help when something is difficult. But I feel the most important skill is to be kind to yourself and lots of positive self talking. You will be your worst critic and possibly get so frustrated you may put yourself down. Believe in yourself and know you are trying your hardest, in fact you may be the hardest worker at your school. Good luck.

  3. I would suggest daily math skills: cost of products, counting change.  There are basic skills for each grade in each subject.  What is the LD?  Higher level skills are very possible with LD students.

  4. To focus on the subject matter. This isnt alway easy when the topics are " boring " and of no real interst but still neccessery
