Spider-man, power rangers, sports, batman, they are pretty popular. My son and my nephews have redone themes so much that to me themes are so boring,lol. But my favorite so far was sports, very colorful.

This cant be answered without knowing the age of the boy having the party.  It can range from Thomas the Train, Transformers,Guitar Hero theme, specific sport teams, skateboarding, etc.

It really depends on the age of the boy.

I have two boys and four nephews and the most popular theme among them are spiderman, sports, pirates and army. They all have pretty much insisted on these themes even if we tried talking them out of it! my boys are 6 years apart and still we have had to redo themes.

And who says sports are only for boys?  Recently took my daughter to a birthday party that was at the soccer field.  They had a game as part of the festivities.

Sure, there are a lot of male-centric birthday party themes, but maybe that's because later in life there are so many female-centric party themes: baby shower, wedding shower....
