What are the most popular sports/outdoor activities on St Thomas in the Virgin Islands?

Where I'm from basketball, softball, flag football, soccer, and even kickball leagues are all common. Just curious if I'll be familiar with the activities down there, or if it's gonna be all cricket and sailing. Thanks!

The most popular sport among the locals is softball.  Softball games can be viewed almost year round and it's enjoyed in a wide variety of age brackets.  Cricket has a fair following but cricket events are usually rare.  Volleyball, basketball and flag football are mostly enjoyed by high schoolers.  Tourists are into sailing and various watersports.

All sorts of good stuff!

On St. John, we have tons of great hiking through the Nat'l Park, there is competitive sailing, you can bike, kayak, sport fish (at certain times of the year for Blue Marlin!), there are basketball and softball leagues, and at some places in St. Thomas like Bolongo Bay, they have kickball night, volley ball night, etc.

Cricket is not as popular here as in some of the other West Indies.  They show the tournament on pay-per-view and we have a team, but I have never heard of a recreational league.
