What are the most prestigious daycares around, and how can I find them?

I'm looking to see what kind of jobs there are in more of the upscale daycares. I would like to know the job opportunities that I can make myself more available to. If anyone could help or has more information that I could get (which is nothing) that would be a great help!

Upper East Side of Manhattan...   private boarding schools and day schools.  Move there.

as a parent, if I wanted top notch daycare I'd ask my mom friends.  I'm assuming though that you are youngish and don't hang around the park with other moms discussing diaper rashes and how to get your child to eat more veggies.  So a decent start would be to open the yellow pages and look under childcare and pick out the biggest most expensive looking ad.  Not "Dot's Daycare" but something like "Le Chateau' Acadamy".  Get it?  Then drive by those places and you should be able to tell which are the fancy ones.  You could even call around and pretend you're asking for information on rates; the most prestigious schools have the most expensive programs.  They will likely offer to send a brochere; the really fancy ones offer extra special programs like ballet, cooking, etc to the kids as optional add-ons to the regular daycare prices.

In my town, there is a free publication aimed towards parents that is all about things for their kids.  Stuff to do, places to go, etc.  It is full of advertising for daycares, especially the high priced ones.  Look to see if you can find anything like that.
