  1. sydney rd - more food

our zoos are pretty cool we have werribee open range zoo, melbourne zoo (CBD) and healesville sanctuary

if you like a scenic drive do the great ocean road AND the black spur

go up the rialto or the eureka building for a view of our skyscape (eureka is newer and a little more interesting)

GET LOST IN THE LANEWAYS! melbournes best feature is that it has a whole lot of "secrets" while we are set up on a grid of broad main streets intersecting and connecting these streets are a network of laneways. It's in these lanes that Melbournes true personality lives. It's here that you can find a bar with a "mad scientist" feel (It's called the Croft Institute) our grandest institutions in Jazz (called manchester and benntts lane) and the best places for a five o'clock beverage. Not to mention some weird and wonderful shopping! This clandestine little world extends to under our grandest train station, under flinders street you will find hatters and shoe repair, not to mention a marvelous record store!

google "white hat" for attractions and events...it's a great site with a Melbourne flavour...
