  1. http://thepudding.com

  2. there are many out there....www.talkster.com

  3. voipstunt.com

    webcalldirect.com

Type in your own phone number and the number you want to call. It calls you back and rings the other phone too.

Free for a couple of minutes to try out. Or you can buy some credit (for calling mobiles or non-free countries). Provided you have some credit, you can make longer free phone calls.

Works from UK, Australia, USA, France among others.

You can also use it for computer to computer calls and computer to phone calls.

    Another one is wengophone.com.

This is more like Skype and includes video, like skype.

Does computer to computer (free), computer to phone and phone to computer. But it is much cheaper than skype - no connection fee, calls less than five seconds are free altogether (usefull if you keep getting voicemail or answering machines) and time charge is 1.1 cents per minute.

  4. I have a web site that explains the "Many Ways to VoIP" for Free (link through my profile).  It will answer many questions.

Free - is often more about marketing than about you getting free calls.  Always read the "fine print" very closely of any service that advertises free calling.

Fact is - MOST VoiP services offer Free VoiP calling.

The trick is called "In-Network" calling....

Almost all VoIP services offer "free In-Network calling".

    In-Network calling:

When you and your family, friends, colleagues have accounts with the same service provider, you can almost always call "each other" for free.

The catch is that the calls have to be PC-PC or VoiP adapter to VoIP adapter,

or, if a paid-for service, then calls are often only free between paying customers (not truly free).

Here are "examples" of VoIP services with truly free In-Network PC-PC calling using their free soft-phones calling:

    Google Talk

    Skype

    Gizmo Project

    Yahoo Voice

    Windows Live Messenger

    MediaRing Talk

    VBuzzer

    Raketu

    EchoLink (ham radio operators only)

    EarthLink Mindspring

    FWD (Free World Dial-up)

    SIPBroker

    Damaka

    InPhonex

    CallCentric
