Question:

What are the names of the religions practiced by the ancient Greeks and Romans?

Today we just refer to them as Greek mythology and Roman mythology, but what are their "technical" names? I'm sure they have official names, just like Christianity and Buddhism have official names.

  1. It depended on who your God/ess was.

    People identified themselves as followers of... Apollo, or Zeus, or Mars, or whomever their "god" was.

    In Roman times, they also had their Lares, which were their household gods; whom the family made offerings and votives to.

    Christianity, Islam, etc., a names given to monotheistic religions.
