What are the names of these books?

Question

This is driving me insane. I remember, back in 5th grade, reading these really good books about mice that could talk. The words were very detailed and the mice were living in kingdoms or something...

I remember the color of one of the books being red.

I realize that this is too little information but I'm trying my best to recall the details.

Does anybody have any suggestions perhaps?

Also, if you don't mind, could you please answer my other question regarding novels written by Stephen King?
